We subscribe to dozens of journal article databases that cover every subject taught at Springfield College. These databases contain a wealth of scholarly information that is not available on the free Internet.

To find scholarly articles, use one of the databases listed on the library's Databases list. Use the Subjects dropdown menu to help you choose the best database for your topic.

After you've filtered to a Subject group, select one of the Best Bet databases to begin your research. These resources will be most useful for you as you begin searching.

Once you have selected a database, type keywords that describe your topic into the search box(es). You can watch our Keywords video to learn some simple strategies to optimize your search.

Finally, most databases allow you to limit your search by date, publication type, whether the article is available in full-text, among other parameters. Limiters are typically available on the left-hand side of the page.

Librarians are always ready to help you with your research, so email us at Ask the Library if you want more in-depth assistance for your topic!
