Ahead of Print (AoP) articles contain the most cutting-edge research being conducted. They may also be known as "Online First" or an "Article in Press." AoP articles are most frequently used in STEM fields. 

Typically, if Library Services subscribes directly to a journal, we will have access to AoP articles right away through the journal website. If we have access to a journal via a database aggregator like EBSCO, AoP articles must be requested via Interlibrary Loan to gain access.

To quickly see if we have access to an AoP article, search our Journals list for the journal title you need.

If you see a lock icon, we do not have access to AoP articles right away and they need to be requested via Interlibrary Loan:

If you do not see a lock icon, we do have full text access to AoP articles right away via the journal website:

Search Quick Search for the journal article you need to place an ILL request. You may see a button indicating that we have full text, but the button will not work until the AoP article is formally published in an issue.
